About Southern Cross Lotto
Is Southern Cross Lotto a real licensed lottery operator?
Yes. Southern Cross Lotto is operated by SEOPILOT LTD (ACN 602 594 245), licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) under License No. Q21005680. We operate under the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 and in partnership with BlueBet Pty Ltd (SA-LGC-172165).
Which lottery games do you offer?
We offer five Australian lottery products: Oz Lotto (Tuesdays), Powerball (Thursdays), Saturday Lotto (Saturdays), Monday & Wednesday Lotto (Mondays and Wednesdays) and Set for Life (daily). Each game has its own rules, odds and prize divisions — visit our Lotteries section for full details.
Do I need to be in Australia to play?
Yes. You must be physically located in Australia and at least 18 years of age to purchase lottery entries through our platform. This is a regulatory requirement.
Playing and entries
How do I choose my numbers?
You can select numbers manually for each game, or use our Quick Pick feature for a random computer-generated selection. Both methods are equally valid — lottery draws are random events where no selection method offers an advantage.
What is a System entry?
A System entry lets you choose more numbers than required for a standard game, automatically generating all possible combinations. This increases your coverage across divisions but costs more. For example, a System 8 in Oz Lotto (choosing 8 from 45 instead of 7) creates 8 game combinations.
When do entries close?
Entries typically close at 7:25pm AEST on the day of each draw. Draws are held at 8:30pm AEST. Always purchase your entry before the close time — late entries cannot be accepted.
Results and prizes
When are results available?
Draw results are typically published on our Results page within 30 minutes of each draw (8:30pm AEST). You will also receive notifications for any prizes won.
How do I claim a prize?
Prizes up to $1,000 are typically credited directly to your account. Prizes above $1,000 may require identity verification and additional processing time. Division 1 prizes are subject to verification by the lottery operator before payment.
How long do I have to claim a prize?
Prize claim periods are set by the game rules — typically 6 years from the date of the relevant draw. We recommend checking your results promptly and claiming prizes as soon as possible.
Responsible gambling
What responsible gambling tools do you offer?
We provide deposit and spending limits (daily, weekly, monthly), session time reminders, activity statements and self-exclusion. You can also register with BetStop to self-exclude from all licensed online wagering services in Australia. Visit our Responsible Gambling page for full details.
How do I set a spending limit?
You can set or adjust spending limits through your account settings at any time. Decreases take effect immediately. Increases are subject to a cooling-off period before they take effect.
