1. Operator
Southern Cross Lotto is operated by SEOPILOT LTD (ACN 602 594 245), licensed by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission under Licence No. Q21005680 pursuant to the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (Victoria).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and physically located in Australia to purchase lottery entries through our platform. We may require identity verification at any time, including before processing prize payments. By using this site, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Lottery products
All lottery games available on this site are conducted in accordance with their published rules, odds and prize structures. Published odds are approximate per single standard game entry and may vary based on the specific game rules. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any game at any time in accordance with regulatory requirements.
4. Purchases and payments
Entries must be purchased before the published close time for each draw. All purchases are final — entries cannot be cancelled, refunded or exchanged after purchase. Prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include any applicable fees.
5. Prize claims
Prizes are determined by the official draw results. Prize claims must be made within the time period specified in the game rules (typically 6 years from the date of the relevant draw). Identity verification may be required for prizes above $1,000. Division 1 prizes are subject to additional verification.
6. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised account use where you have failed to protect your credentials.
7. Responsible gambling
We provide responsible gambling tools including spending limits, self-exclusion and activity statements. By using our services, you agree to gamble responsibly and to use available tools if your gambling behaviour changes. We reserve the right to restrict or close accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe that gambling is causing harm.
8. Privacy
Your personal information is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
9. Anti-Money Laundering and identity verification (AML/KYC)
Southern Cross Lotto complies with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) and associated rules. As part of our obligations:
- We are required to verify the identity of all players before processing transactions or prize payments. You may be asked to provide government-issued identification (passport, driver's licence or proof-of-age card) and proof of address.
- We monitor transactions for unusual or suspicious activity. If we identify activity that may be inconsistent with normal lottery play, we may suspend your account pending review and report the activity to AUSTRAC (Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre) as required by law.
- We maintain records of customer identification and transaction data in accordance with regulatory retention periods.
- We do not accept cash deposits, anonymous accounts, or accounts held by persons under 18 years of age.
Failure to provide satisfactory identification when requested may result in account suspension and forfeiture of unclaimed prizes in accordance with applicable legislation.
10. Dispute resolution
If you have a complaint about our services, please follow our three-step dispute resolution process:
- Internal complaint: Email [email protected] with "Complaint" in the subject line. We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and provide a written response within 14 business days.
- Internal escalation: If unsatisfied, request escalation to a senior manager. The escalation review will be completed within 10 business days.
- External review: If the dispute remains unresolved, you may contact the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) at vgccc.vic.gov.au or call 1300 182 457. You may also contact your state or territory consumer affairs body.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law and other applicable legislation, our liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant entry. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
13. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified on this page. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
